Many have found a reason to think so, but it doesn’t add up to the Bible’s depiction of that coming conflict.\u00a0 In fact, Russia and Georgia will work together<\/em> in that coming conflict, rather than fighting against one another.<\/p>\n

Gog-Magog War<\/span><\/em><\/a><\/h2>\n

Ezekiel speaks of an attack on Israel that will be shown to be modern<\/em> Israel.\u00a0 <\/span>The conditions of this attack are such that it cannot refer to a former time in history, as will be demonstrated in this section.\u00a0 <\/span>This attack is another pre-tribulational event which has not yet happened as of the writing of this work.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ezekiel 38:1-6 (NIV)<\/span>1<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0The word of the LORD came to me: <\/span><\/em>2<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0“Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him <\/span><\/em>3<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and say: ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. <\/span><\/em>4<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army–your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. <\/span><\/em>5<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, <\/span><\/em>6<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops–the many nations with you.<\/span><\/em> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Magog, Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal are ancient tribes that occupied the geographical area of modern day Russia, and parts of Iran and Turkey.<\/span><\/p>\n
