With what kind of body will they come?&#8221; <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">36<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0How foolish! What you sow does not come to life unless it dies. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">37<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">38<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">39<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0All flesh is not the same: Men have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">40<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">41<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">42<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">43<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">44<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">45<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0So it is written: &#8220;The first man Adam became a living being&#8221; ; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">46<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">47<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">48<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. <\/span><\/em><strong><em><sup><span style=\"font-size: 8pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;\">49<\/span><\/sup><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">\u00a0And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven.<\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"> <\/span><\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\">While this text is not speaking in terms of a rapture, it is giving a description of the spiritual body which believers will have in eternity.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>1 Corinthians 15:5, examined sentences ago, declares the fact of a spiritual body which was described earlier in verses 35-49.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\">The first chief observation of the spiritual body one receives upon rapture is noted in verse 42:<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>&#8220;The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable.&#8221;<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The<span style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: italic;\"> imperishable nature of the resurrected body, simply stated, determines that the spiritual body does not deteriorate.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It does not die.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Because it does not die, a second deduction can be drawn, which is that it does not sin.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Scripture teaches clearly that sin brings death.<a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn1;\" name=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"http:\/\/returningking.com\/wp-admin\/#_ftn1\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: black; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; mso-bidi-font-style: italic; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-font-kerning: 14.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\">[1]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Thus, a body which cannot die is necessarily one which cannot sin.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Both ideas are represented in the description of imperishability.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: italic;\">Verse 43 <\/span>states &#8220;it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory.&#8221;<span style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Glory infers worthiness or dignity.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is a state foreign to sinful man, yet is true of the resurrected body.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0<\/span>Continuing in verse 43 is the statement &#8220;it is raised in power.&#8221;<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The transliterated Greek term translated &#8220;power&#8221; in the NIV is Gk. <em>dynamis,<\/em> which infers <em>great power,<\/em> rather than general power.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is associated with miraculous power and is used parallel to Christ, angels and spiritual powers in scripture.<\/span><\/span><a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn2;\" name=\"_ftnref2\" href=\"http:\/\/returningking.com\/wp-admin\/#_ftn2\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: black; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; mso-bidi-font-style: italic; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-font-kerning: 14.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\">[2]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>This description indicates a power on a greater plain than man currently experiences.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is by definition, therefore, &#8220;supernatural&#8221; power.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0pt;\"><span style=\"mso-bidi-font-style: italic;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 6pt 0in 15pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\">Lastly, in verse 44 it is noted &#8220;it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.&#8221;<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The concept of a &#8220;spiritual body&#8221; is one foreign to man&#8217;s experience.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Humanity has long understood a defining line to exist between the physical and the spiritual.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The body is understood as that which is physical while the soul is understood to be that which is spiritual.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The eternal body of man, however, is of a different constitution.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is a spirit-body, specially designed for existence in the spiritual world of Heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"margin: 6pt 0in 15pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: small; font-family: Times New Roman;\">The descriptions noted in this text create something difficult to define completely.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It seems probably, however, that the spiritual bodies man will be transformed into at the rapture would be similar, if not near identical, to the body Christ received upon his glorification.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>The risen Christ demonstrated characteristics which may indeed give insight into the nature of the resurrected body.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Christ was able to &#8220;appear&#8221; in a room without using a door.<\/span><a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn3;\" name=\"_ftnref3\" href=\"http:\/\/returningking.com\/wp-admin\/#_ftn3\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: black; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-font-kerning: 14.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\">[3]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>He also disappeared in similar fashion.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>Yet, the risen Christ was able to be touched by the disciples to prove that he was not a ghost and was able to eat.<\/span><\/span><a style=\"mso-footnote-id: ftn4;\" name=\"_ftnref4\" href=\"http:\/\/returningking.com\/wp-admin\/#_ftn4\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"mso-special-character: footnote;\"><span class=\"MsoFootnoteReference\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: black; font-family: &quot;Times New Roman&quot;,&quot;serif&quot;; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-font-kerning: 14.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;\">[4]<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman;\"><span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>While it is impossible to know if these characteristics were due to Christ&#8217;s glorified body or his deity, these are not characteristics of Christ&#8217;s body while he lived on earth, nor did his deity manifest itself in those fashions.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\">\u00a0 <\/span>It seems probable, indeed, that the characteristics of the risen Christ&#8217;s body are likened to those which will be normative of the glorified bodies of all men.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"mso-element: footnote-list;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;
