{"id":901,"date":"2010-06-17T09:45:34","date_gmt":"2010-06-17T15:45:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.returningking.com\/?p=901"},"modified":"2010-06-17T09:45:34","modified_gmt":"2010-06-17T15:45:34","slug":"interpreting-the-bible-vlog-course-begins-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/returningking.com\/?p=901","title":{"rendered":"Interpreting the Bible Vlog Course Begins Today"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"seriesmeta\">This entry is part 1 of 14 in the series <a href=\"https:\/\/returningking.com\/?series=interpreting-the-bible-vlog-series\" class=\"series-209\" title=\"Interpreting the Bible (Vlog)\">Interpreting the Bible (Vlog)<\/a><\/div><p>Today we begin a new Vlog series which will correspond to the weekly teaching series at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fbcneedville.org\">First Baptist Church Needville<\/a> on the topic of Biblical Hermeneutics, or the science of interpreting the scriptures.\u00a0 This course will unfold in three general phases:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The Principles:\u00a0 The first several weeks will unveil the truths which must be understood and considered when studying and interpreting scripture (such as historical, contextual, linguistic principles and others).<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The Process:\u00a0\u00a0The second major section will involve a\u00a0deeper foray into the application of these principles, including study of several interpretive laws (the law of recurrence, the law of double reference, the golden rule of interpretation &amp;
