Gog/Magog War (Introduction)

This entry is part 1 of 6 in the series Gog/Magog War

Gog-Magog War

Ezekiel prophesies an attack on Israel that must be understood to refer to modern Israel.  The conditions of this attack are such that it cannot refer to a former time in history, as will be demonstrated in this section.  This attack is another pre-tribulational event which has not yet happened as of the writing of this work.  This prophecy is outlined in Ezekiel 38.

Interestingly, the prophecies concerning the Gog-Magog war have led many students of eschatology to continually postulate any and all attacks against Israel as somehow prophetic in nature.  When a rogue terrorist group launches an isolated attack across Israeli borders, people immediately begin speculating the advent of the Gog-Magog war.  However, the events prophesied by Ezekiel concerning this war make it abundantly clear that this particular world event will be easily discernable to students of eschatology.  It will not be something that will slip through the news cycle at media outlets without a great deal of attention.  It will be large-scale, calculated and will end in such a miraculous way that the world will be forced to ponder in great detail what exactly had happened when it is over.

Ezekiel describes this attack in a nearly perfect who, what, when, where, how and why fashion.
